A suggestion for zipcar company

Hello, I have a suggestion for zipcar management team.
I hope you can transfer this suggestion to your management team.

My location is in Brookline Village, MA. Recently, I found some of hybrid cars were removed near my location. I hypothesized that your management team tried to increase hybrid cars to test how the customers and markets reacted and if the profits increased. Obviously, the project did not work, so the number of hybrid cars has decreased recently. However, the decreasing of hybrid car, I guess, also reduced the income in weekdays.

I have a way that can increase the number of hybrid cars and also raise profits. Zipcar Company needs increase the numbers of hybrid cars and locations, and set the prices of those cars different in the weekdays (hour-price) from weekends (day-price).

According my observation, in the weekdays people need zipcars for short trips and use them individually. Those customers are high price sensitivity, and hybrid cars are their first choices. In the weekends or holidays, people usually used zipcars for long trips with friends or family, and all they concern are getting cars and have fun, so their price sensitivity is not high. Zipcar Company can make hybrid cars rented as day-price.

Those suggestions are based on my experience and observation. If Zipcar company wants to know if it works or not, just build a model and run it for result. I have 70% sure it will work.

iPad vs Netbook

在1911期的商業週刊中提到iPad與小筆電的戰爭，
這兩項產品的定位介於智慧手機與筆電之間，
跟智慧手機相比，它雖然失去便利性，
但也提供更寬廣的螢幕與處理速度；
跟筆電比起來，他的處力能力與擴充界面不如筆電，
但是輕便、電池續航力卻是大大取代了筆電。
就如同筆電取代了桌上型電腦。

iPad跟小筆電的確是有存在的空間，
但是這兩者之間各有優缺點。
iPad簡易好入手，缺點是硬體擴充不易，
但是期可擴充軟體足以取代這缺點。

小筆電價格大大降低、輕便且電池續航力長，
擴充能力也勝於iPad，但是運行速度是其罩門。

iPad要解決儲存空間不足的唯一方式就是雲端科技。
iPad擁有快速的上網速度
如果可以將我們所有的資料儲存在網路空間
則儲存容量在iPad上就不會輸給小筆電

一旦iPad相似產品大賣，
除了周邊商品的廠商與軟體合作開發商會友賺頭之外
電信與網路業者將也會受惠

AT&T將不再擁有iPhone在美國的專賣權

Apple即將要跨入CDMA手機系統的市場了。

以往Apple只有推出GSM系統，且3G頻率只適用AT&T的手機。
但是在今年的夏天，將會有適用於CDMA的iPhone出現，
而且新款iPhone將會更薄，處理器會更快。
AT&T的最大勁敵Verizon將會開賣iPhone。

iPhone一直都是台灣鴻海公司代工，
但是CDMA版的iPhone將不再由鴻海代工，
而是華碩旗下子公司和碩聯合代工，
和碩聯合已經規畫在九月量產CDMA版的iPhone，
不過和碩聯合與鴻海發言人皆不此事發表任何意見。
